Luis Armando Becerra-Pérez
Holds a PhD in Economics from the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), a Master's degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS). In 2015, he graduated from the Applied Leadership in Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program at the Center for Health and the Environment at Harvard University. During 2016-2017, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Purdue University, Indiana, USA. He also conducted postdoctoral studies in bioenergy at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, during 2021-2022. In addition, he has made academic visits to the National University of Colombia (2011), Yale University (2012), and FAO - Brazil (2014). He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at UAS. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII), level 2; his lines of research are biofuels, sustainable development, and the impacts of pollution on public health. He is also an honorary researcher at the Sinaloa System of Researchers and Technologists. He is a member of the academic body “Environmental Economics, Bioenergy and Sustainability” and has been awarded the “Reconocimiento de Perfil Deseable” (Desirable Profile Award) by the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
