Alvaro Osornio
Alvaro Osornio-Vargas research interest is in air pollution and related health effects. He focuses on the impact of the particles at the experimental level and mixtures of pollutants at the population one. He obtained all his degrees from UNAM and worked as a researcher at the National Institutes of Cardiology and Cancerology. Currently, he is a Professor at the Department of Pediatrics, University of Alberta, where he developed the research segment of a Children's Environmental Health Clinic. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Schools of Public Health at the University of Michigan, Rutgers University and the University of Alberta.
